On 24 April 2025, Hong Kong Chu Hai College held its Joint Scholarships and Bursaries Presentation Ceremony on campus. The event aimed to recognize students’ outstanding achievements in academics, sports, and individual talents, while expressing gratitude to donors for their generous support. This year, scholarships and financial aid totaling over HK$1.5 million were awarded, benefiting more than 80 outstanding students, including both undergraduate and postgraduate students, locals and non-locals alike – demonstrating the College's commitment to nurturing diverse talents.
Interim President Ms. Jane Zhang extended her heartfelt congratulations to all award recipients in her speech, and expressed special thanks to ten organizations and individual donors for their strong support of the College’s educational mission. She emphasized that “Education is the key to changing one's destiny, and scholarships and financial aid are essential components of that key. Going forward, the College will continue to expand its resources and enhance its support systems so that more students can benefit.”
This year’s ceremony highlights the College’s emphasis on cultivating a wide range of talents. In addition to Admission Scholarships and Academic Performance Scholarships, there were other awards that encourage holistic development – such as "Special Scholarships" and "Outstanding Student Ambassadors Award". Notably, the newly established "Scholarly Achievement Award" funded by the Chiyu Tan Kah Kee Education Foundation, for the first-time recognized faculty staff, reflecting the College’s innovative approach and its balanced focus on both teaching and research excellence.
The College sincerely thanks all donor organizations, award-winning students, and the participating staff for their enthusiastic involvement, which lent great significance to the ceremony. Looking ahead, the College will continue to expand its scholarships and bursaries programmes to help more students achieve their dreams. The ceremony concluded in a warm and joyful atmosphere, with group photos taken to commemorate this memorable occasion.
