The newly established Arts Tech Research Centre by the Department of Journalism and Communication has been completed. This centre is equipped with cutting-edge immersive experience technology, including eight sets of 4K projection systems (the first of its kind in the education sector), creating a groundbreaking interactive space with the following innovative applications:

• 360° wall projection for fully immersive environments
• Enhanced VR/AR experiences
• Real-time interaction with virtual spaces
• Integration of advanced AI technologies shaping the future of media

In his opening speech, Professor FUNG Kam-Wing, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, highlighted the visionary establishment of this research centre in 2023, a forward-thinking initiative that has now come to life.

The advanced facilities at the Arts Tech Research Centre are the first of their kind in a self-financing tertiary institution. The centre will not only be used for teaching, but will also collaborate with educational organisations, research institutions and industry partners to explore a new era of interactive learning.
