Requirements

· PhD in Chinese Literature, Chinese history or a related field;

· Specialty in Classical Poetry Studies, History and Culture of Great Bay Area and Creative Writing;

· Capacity in research across Chinese Literature, Chinese History, Comparative Culture and Creative Writing;

· Capacity to teach in English;

· Capacity to teach in the following fields:

            a. Chinese Literature

            b. Chinese History

            c. Chinese Philosophy

            d. Creative Writing

· Preference will be given to those with experience in editing for the fields of Chinese history and literature.

Department of Civil Engineering

Key Responsibilities

An academic leader responsible to ensure the effective operation and sustainable development of the Department. He/ she will be reporting direct to the Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering. His/ her key responsibilities are as follows:  

· Provide leadership in the development of the Department to align with the College’s Strategic Plan and benefit the community at large;

· Ascertain the Department’s high-quality and innovation in teaching, research, scholarly activities and knowledge transfer;  

· Ensure the Department’s effective operation in terms of human, financial and other resources;

· Undertake teaching at postgraduate and/ or undergraduate level;

· Conduct and assist sub-ordinates to conduct researches that lead to publications in reputable journals and results in promoting advancement in the field;

· Undertake such other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or the Management level of the College from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications:

· A Doctoral level in Civil Engineering and/ or a closely-related field;

· Substantial experience in a relevant senior academic position, relevant professional qualifications are not a must but preferred;

· Strong track record in knowledge, skills, research and scholarship in the area of Civil Engineering and/ or a closely-related field;

· Good understanding of and experience in local, regional and international higher education environment;

· Good interpersonal communication and effective resources management skills;

· Good networks in both academic and professional bodies at local, regional and international levels.

Ng Teng Fong․ Sino Group Belt and Road Research Institute

Key Responsibilities

(1) Undertake teaching of courses in the two Master Programmes in International Relations and International  Business Management for Belt and Road Countries;
(2) Assist in programme /curriculum design, academic quality and programme development;
(3) Conduct and engage in research and consultancy;
(4) Undertake academic and administrative duties; and
(5) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Institute or his delegate.
(6)Preferably the successful applicants would be able to teach and research in areas related to Africa or the Middle East.

Skills and Qualifications: (1) Applicants should have a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline and excellent communication skills;
(2) Applicants should have solid experiences in teaching and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research on Belt and Road Countries;
(3) Applicants should have good networks in both academia and the profession at regional and international levels (especially in Belt and Road Countries).
