The premier international student design competition ‘Asian Young Designer Awards 2020 (AYDA 2020)’ kicked started at the college on 4 Nov 2020!
Organized and sponsored by Nippon Paint, the competition is moving towards her 13th year anniversary to promote and nurture young design talents in Asia. The Department of Architecture is honoured to collaborate with Nippon Paint again to organize the regional AYDA (Architecture Category) this year.
Nippon Paint representatives offered a comprehensive lecture on Paints and the competition to 50 students at the college last week. The topic of the year, ‘FORWARD: Human-centered Design’, challenges young designers to think and cultivate deep empathy for end users through innovative architecture and urban design solution for the future of the world. Students would submit their creative proposals by Jan 2021.
The regional jury would take place at our college in the first quarter of 2021 where five awards would be selected. The winner would then be sponsored by Nippon Paint to participate in the international competition and workshop, tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2021 in Vietnam.
